Treasure Coast Community Singers at Halpatiokee December Meeting

Treasure Coast Community SingHalpatiokee members were serenaded with Christmas songs by the Treasure Coast Community Singers led by Douglas P. Jewett, Artistic Director of North Stuart Baptist Church. Mr. Jewett was presented a flag, flown over the United States Capitol, and a monetary gift by Vice Regent Esther Twichell.

Since its inception in 2003, TCCS, a 501(c)(3) organization, has grown from a handful of singers to a 140 member organization with five distinct performing groups. The Community Choir rehearses on Monday evening at 7 p.m. This choir is open to all who enjoy singing and its repertoire includes old favorites, patriotic and inspirational music.

The Classical Choir rehearses on Tuesday at 6 p.m. This choir is designed for singers with the ability to read music and a knowledge of music theory.

Auditions are required to be a member of the Classical Choir. The Community & Classical Ensembles are outreach choirs made up of members from the Community and/or Classical Choirs.

These groups are available to perform at community events, organization meetings and club parties. The newest addition to TCCS is the Children/Youth Choir for students in grades 3 to 12 who love to sing.
